In 2020, Princeton University embarked on an ambitious endeavor to replace their 100-year-old steam distribution system with a low-temperature hot water district system. The conversion to low-temperature hot water includes converting 110+ buildings, 13 miles of EN253 thermal piping, 3000, 850ft geo-exchange bores, a new central plant (TIGER), and modifications to the existing Central Plant (West Plant). This program is scheduled to take 25 years to complete. Circadia Group has been hired to manage the program and project scope required to complete the full campus conversion.
